KAEF Annual Meeting Highlights and Election Results

Thank you to all alumni who attended the on-line KAEF Annual Meeting on Saturday April 25,, 2026 and to those who voted in the on-line election.  For those of you who could not attend, here is a summary of what was shared at the meeting:

Financial Review

  • We completed a mortgage refinance in March of 2026.  The loan will be fully satisfied in March of 2031 at which point The KAstle will be debt free!  We have the option to make additional payments during the term which would satisfy the mortgage sooner.
  • The annual budget is in good shape, and we are meeting all revenue and expense targets
  • We have continually included funds for routine and large capital projects in our budgets

Capital Projects

  • We installed a new roof last year
  • This year we will upgrade / replace all  heating, air conditioning, and water heaters
  • We are replacing the soffit on the porch side of the house
  • We will also replace all existing security cameras and recording devices

Chapter Status

  • We currently have 68 (qty) active brothers.
  • There are 3 (qty) MAIs this spring semester
  • The chapter has a 3.23 GPA overall; the All IFC GPA was 3.20
  • 2026-2027 School Year will have 21 (qty) brothers living in the KAstle
  • The KAEF Board is happy with the Executive Committee and their leadership skills

KAEF Board Status

  • The board has put forth a proposed slate of candidates for the 2026-2027 year
  • The slate included the addition of two board seats
  • The members of this board have worked diligently on getting the chapter and the KAstle back on its feet over the past few years.

The alumni attending the meeting voted unanimously to add 2 (qty) three-year term seats to the board.  We now have 11 (qty) board members.

Subsequent to the meeting , the results on the proposed slate of candidates were tabulated and unanimously approved.  The results are listed below:
